Mini “Flying Fox” Killed a Guide


Many games and entertainments were built when Holiday come. They are like flying fox, air balloon, cycling, horses rent, etc. You just pay fifty thousand rupiah to enjoy the all of them. On Sunday 16th flying fox was opened just until 11 am, although it should be opened until 3 pm. There were police lines in the game area. Actually, it is closed because there were a tour guide that got incident after doing the play. The name of the tour guide is Budi 36 years old, from the one of village in Borobudur ( Gendingan ), have worked as a Indonesian guide in Borobudur Temple about 10 years.

Surongko, as the ticket boy of the games tell that the tour guide named Budi was died before finishing the route of the flaying fox. Before enjoying the game, the crew of flying fox said that Budi was overweight, so he did not allow enjoying the game. This mini flying fox is only a person who has weight under 60 kg, not for Budi who has weight 68 kg. Budi ignore the crew ban, he said that I just want to show for his guests that the game is save, so I just want try. Finally, when he arrived in the middle of the route, the string broke, and he fell down in the land.

He could wake up by himself, but after 10 minutes letter he died. It made the game was closed, and did not allowed to hold in the area.


The Performance of Traditional Dance in Borobudur Become very Dangerous

Every Sunday morning in the area of Borobudur Temple is held many performances of traditional dances. It is held near entrance without stage just outdoor, 09.00 am – 02.00 pm with break time in 12.00 pm. The performers of the event comes from many area around Magelang regency.
On Sunday morning, 17th October 2010 there was an something difference with the performance of the event. In that time, the performer came from the village near Borobudur temple (Ngaran), with their traditional dance named Ndayakan. Ndayakan comes from the word dayak, the one of ethic group of Papua Indonesia. We can imagine that this performance especially their costume like Indian people or apache. They dance so energetic and powerful, the member of the dancers is 30 men with a leader of it. When they were dancing approximately 10 minutes from the star, there was a dancer named Andi 25 years old stiff suddenly. It made the audience so fear, because the dancer not only stiff but also attack the one of audience. He is so dangerous like a lion and boom in the land. This situation was exists about 25 minutes.
The crew catch the dancer quickly. There was a person who held the dancer and stained water to the dancer face. Suddenly, the dancer became so limp. The one of the crew named Saryono said that it is named kesurupan. Kesurupan comes from Javanese language, it means that the dancer do anything without awareness. They stiff and attack somebody because they were influenced by gosh. The dancer who can be kesurupan, because they are didn’t concentrate or in unfit condition. The music and the action attract gosh or something mystic come to the performance area. Sometimes we think that it is unreasonable, but for Javanese tradition, it is exist and it is kinds of cultural.
